Otago Westpac Trophy Open Rapid Tournaments
Format: 6 Round Swiss, rapid time limit of 20 minutes for the game with a 5 second delay for each move (Bronstein). NZCF rated. New Zealand players who participate in two or more NZCF rated tournaments in a year are required to be a member of an NZCF Affiliate or Associate Chess Club.
Schedule: Clubrooms open from 11:00am for Entries accepted up until Players’ meeting at 12:00pm, but if entries exceed 40 players, those who have registered by email ahead of the day will be given preference. Play will commence at 12:30pm. Prize-giving approximately 5:30pm.
Venue: Otago Chess Club, 7 Maitland Street, Dunedin.
Entry Fees: $20 each tournament (payment online in advance or in cash on the day is fine)
